Coming off his self-financed CD on his own Burning Bush Records, Block comes to you
with his major label debut "Timing Is Everything" on Java/Capitol. Block spins off his underground
hit "Rhinoceros" from the Burning Bush release "Lead Me Not Into Penn
Station" along with twelve new tracks that funk, groove and slide into a more
modern rock offering than his "alterna-folk" debut. Tracks include the
house rocking "I Call Her Vicious," a middle-eastern techno influenced
"The Pink House Must Burn" and the autobiographical "Cigarettes, Prozac
and Scotch." Block has been compared to such music greats as Lou Reed, Bob Dylan
and even Neil Diamond, as well as contemporaries like Robin Hitchcock, Ani DiFranco,
the late Jeff Buckley and Beck. |
